Our closure system has three major components, the hinged door, which is an ASME dished head with a slotted flange, a flanged and gasketed extension to be welded to the vessel shell, and a rotatable locking ring which is retained on the extension flange. When the door is closed and the locking ring is rotated, opposing wedges on the back of the door flange and on the matching side of the ring force both flanges together.

Notes:
1. Doors are designed for manual side swing operation. Other styles can be made to order.
2. Actuation of locking ring is by hydralic cylinder. Price includes a hydraulic package with a manual pump, manual selector valve, hoses, brackets and safety lock mechanism.
3. Doors are preassembled and mechanically tested prior to shipment.
4. Doors are painted one coat of standard primer.

Material: SA516Gr70 is standard, other materials available.
Construction in accordance with the latest edition of ASME CODE SECTION VIII Division 1.
Max. operating temp. is 343 deg, C (650 deg. F.)
Shell extension thickness is based on 85% of allowable stress.
Corrosion allowance is not included.
